I am a dedicated and passionate photographer with 15 years experience and a background in photojournalism. This foundation has prepared me to work in any situation or style, although my preferred documentary style captures the world as it is - often beautiful and a little messy. I’m always seeking out stories to tell, and creative new ways to tell them.
I speak Spanish and have photographed in 4 countries outside of the USA. Since returning to my hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, I have contracted with several local non-profit companies to teach photography in underserved communities. I also work with adults with disabilities and seniors.
Photography, for me, is all about preserving memories and telling stories. I love using my abilities to do this for others, and sharing my love of the medium in meaningful ways. I have a sense of humor that can often carry over into my work. In addition to posed and traditional photos, I will take candid shots when it’s least expected - I’m often told these are my client’s favorite ones!
When I’m not shooting away with my camera, I love to be outside, hiking, camping and climbing. I also spend time bringing the outside in with my plant obsession. I have been doing my best to avoid single-use plastics in recent years and trying a lower waste lifestyle. I love to cook food fresh from the farmer’s market. More than any of that, though, I love animals. Befriending a new dog can be the best moment of the day. I’m open to trying any project, because I love learning new things and putting my all into everything I do.
I am happy to work with you, wherever you may be. I'm here for brainstorming your project and also happy to travel.
